It is when something is not copyrighted so it is labeled as “Public Domain” meaning that is open to be used without the need of permission.
Copyright Exists Automatically Upon Creation. Anything you create gives you automatic copyright to it. The laws of copyright come into effect when you use the work of someone else without their permission.
