Web Quest Process
1. Create your group. You must work with 2-3 students per group.
2. Choose your topic. Only one group per topic in each class is allowed.
3. Each member of the group will explore a different aspect of the topic. How you decide what aspects you are targeting will be determined by your audience. Your target audience should be Weston High School students since your presentation will be made in front of the class. When researching, choose information that is appropriate for your target audience. You may also include additional information if you would like (like Internet Safety for little brothers and sisters, for instance).
4. Research the topic. Gather as much information as you can about the topic and record the important issues. You may use the list of links on the links page of this Web quest as well as other Web based or library resources. All sources MUST be authenticated and cited! Fill out an authenticity form for all sites not listed in this resource.
5. In addition to choosing an audience, you need to choose a stance about your topic. Is this topic extremely important or a necessary evil? Is it a social issue, a political issue, a cultural issue, a broader issue?? Is the topic universally important? Remember to develop your answers to a global viewer (regardless of what specific audience you choose)!
6. Finally, create your Web site in Dreamweaver using only text and background colors to make the site fun and interesting to view. The information must be complete, accurate and fully supported by MLA style citations.

7. Your site must include the following:
• one page per person plus a Links page and a Works Cited page
• at least one table per person
• internal, external and anchored links
• a variety of text styles, colors, sizes and alignment
• Continuity - the pages must "go together" - use similar styling to show consistency throughout the site (hint: remember templates?)
• Working links between all the pages!!

In addition, you must sufficiently cover the topic so that you can teach the class about it!!

8. Save your pages and submit online as directed.
