Our Children are in DANGER!
What are our children in danger of, well the INTERNET. It has now become a superhighway of information and material that can educate them but can endanger them if they are not careful. Such dangers include:
-Harassments
-Exposures
-Encounters
-X-rated materials
that are dangerous enough to encourage dangerous and/or illegal behavior in children. Nowadays people use the internet to spread and say hurtful and harmful things to other individuals. Children believe that it is okay to harass people or send inappropriate pictures of themselves through the internet probably thinking they won't get caught or that is all right. Unfortunately we live in a society where oour children are being raised around sexual content on daily basis through:
-Magazines
-TV
-Movies
-Music
-advertisements
They might've been exposed to such content:
-While surfing the web
-Online searches
-Pop-up ads
-Junk mail
Kids also use the internet to socialize with other individuals whether young or old. There are numerous sites, blogs, and chatrooms where kids can socialize with strangers and friends not realizing the real danger at hand. Without realizing what they are doing, kids share their personal information with people they don't know or share pictures of themselves which has the potential of getting spread through the web where everyone will be able to see. When that kind of information gets out its there FOREVER and you can NEVER get it back.
