To begin your Web Quest, visit the sites that are on the Web Quest Links page (see link at left). These are interactive sites about drawing over the last 5 centuries. (Click on the titles on the web pages to begin the tours.)

Read the material and follow the interactive information for these sites. Then, you can also look through the additional sites for more information, if you'd like. After you have an idea of how drawing may have changed over time, answer the following questions in a Word document (you may choose to create a PowerPoint presentation instead):

1. How have drawing materials and/or methods changed or stayed the same since the 16th century? Support your answer with specific examples.

2. The drawings of which time period show the most symbolism? the most emotion? Support your answer with specific examples.

3. What do you see as the biggest differences and similarities in the drawings shown from the earlier time periods (16th to 19th centuries) and that of the 20th century? Site specific examples.

4. Of all the drawings you have seen in the Web Quest, which one do you like the best? Why? Please copy the image (control or right click to save to your computer or create a screen shot) and include the image in your written information.
